Terms of Use

Protein Penguin is a personal protein tracking application for iOS. You may use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.

The App offers a free tier with core functionality and a Pro tier with additional features available via in-app purchase. Pro pricing:

• Protein Penguin Pro Monthly - $2.99/month, auto-renews monthly.
• Protein Penguin Pro Annual - $19.99/year, auto-renews yearly.
• Lifetime - $29.99 one-time purchase

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID and processed by Apple. Monthly and annual plans include a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, your account will be charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Protein Penguin uses Apple's Standard End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store. You can review the EULA at Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Protein Penguin is a tracking and logging tool only. The App does not provide medical advice, nutritional counseling, or dietary recommendations. The App is not a substitute for professional nutritional guidance, medical diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the food and protein data you log. Nutritional information retrieved via barcode scanning comes from the OpenFoodFacts public database and may not always be accurate or current. The App makes no guarantees about the accuracy of third-party nutritional data.

Integration with Apple HealthKit is entirely optional and controlled by you through iOS permissions. You may revoke HealthKit access at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy > Health. The App uses HealthKit data solely for the features described in the App and never transmits HealthKit data off your device.

All content, designs, graphics, the Pip character, and other intellectual property within Protein Penguin are owned by Sonny Ideas LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the App without prior written permission.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sonny Ideas LLC and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, regardless of the theory of liability. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
